Kelly Frames completed her undergraduate BSc degree in Human Kinetics and Ergonomics at Rhodes University. She went on to obtain her BSc Honours degree in Biokinetics at the University of Zululand in KZN, thereafter completing her Masters degree in Sports Science. She lectured at the University and was involved with development of the biokinetics clinical practice. After moving to Johannesburg, she started her own biokinetics practice in Fourways, developing a special interest in chronic, cardiac and orthopaedic rehabilitation for young, older populations and athletes. The practice has grown over the years and is fully equipped with various pieces of equipment for rehabilitation, testing and training. The latest addition of the Cybex machine allows for specialized isokinetic testing for strength and endurance across multiple joints of the body to identify specific muscular imbalances and weaknesses. Kelly is passionate about helping all types of individuals to optimize their performance and thrive in life.
We’re delighted to welcome Aliyah to the practice. With a BHS in Sport & Exercise Science (UJ) and a BMedScHons in Biokinetics (UCT), she brings a strong academic foundation paired with great experience across orthopaedic, geriatric, chronic diseases and neurological rehabilitation.
Aliyah approaches biokinetics with a mindset rooted in possibility rather than limitation. Guided by the belief that “the only disability in life is a bad attitude,” she focuses on empowering patients to see beyond their diagnoses and recognise their own strength and resilience.
Her passion lies in helping patients rebuild confidence through movement, supported by thorough assessments, personalised exercise programmes, and both individual and group-based sessions.
Aliyah values collaboration with all health professionals and is committed to meaningful, patient-centred care for long-term outcomes.
We’re very excited to have Aliyah join our team and look forward to the positive impact she will make on our patients’ journeys.
